
Too often many of us only celebrate our BIG wins. We neglect to take the time to acknowledge our daily wins. Who has time for that?.. Well, to be frank, we should make the time. We all need to! It is one way to practice self-care and to become and remain mentally healthy.
Today, I did just that! It is Wednesday, you know, hump-day. It is the middle of the work week for many of us, which means we are halfway through our work week. Yippie! That is a small win and worth even a minute of our time to celebrate. So, I decided that I wanted to create my first TikTok video to celebrate and to encourage others to do the same. My youngest daughter, Sierra helped me. I knew nothing about how to create a video on TikTok until today. I have watched a few videos and knew the format I wanted but had no idea how to begin. I had an account set up about two months ago but did nothing beyond that until today. You know what? It felt really good!
I encourage you, take time to celebrate your small wins, even if it is simply that you made it to hump-day. Whether or not it was as productive as you liked, that isn’t the most important thing. It is most important that you got to that point in the week. Sometimes that is the very best we can do and anything else is extra.
Celebrating your small wins helps you to:
- Acknowledge and appreciate where you are currently
- Reflect on what it took to get you there
- Reevaluate and adjust if needed
- Take a moment to rest (even just a little bit)
